There will be times when everything may not go as planned or you were caught by surprise. There may be times too where you will have to juggle your feelings when both the good and bad news were delivered to you at the same time – it certainly does not help when you are also experiencing the "time-of-the-month" and your hormones goes haywire!
Don’t ever stop believing in your ability to retain your sanity, even in the worst of circumstances. In fact, following these three basic tips below can help to restore your sanity at any given point in time. This is an important skill – reclaiming your ability to hold steady and avoid the desire to run amok like a chicken without its head. Let’s face it; life is crazy enough without adding to the mass of insanity with your own brand of it. Fortunately, not only can you take charge of your own destiny, but you can choose to respond wisely when such a phase happens. Note: it's just a phase, it will be over before you know it and meanwhile, here are some tips for you.
Tip 1: Take Some Me Time
Give yourself a break every once in a while. Remember that you’re not a machine, and you need to relax so your body and brain can refuel with fresh life. Unlike the parts in a machine, the components of your brain cannot be replaced. It’s up to you to keep them healthy, so take some me time and have some fun. Do whatever it is that puts a smile on your face. Here are a few ideas to get you started:
Tip 2: Do Something Productive
If you’re in a funk and need find a way to hold it together, get up - out of the bed, off the sofa, and put away the remote control. Being a couch potato is not going to get you anywhere. In fact, it’s called vegetating because that is exactly what your brain does when you sit for too long in front of the television. You whole body starts to shut down as you use less energy and even less brain power. No wonder you feel like your sanity is silently slipping away!
Complete one of the tasks that has been weighing on your mind. If you are like most people, you carry around a mental list of things that need doing, and writing that list down usually provides a welcoming burst of energy. As an entrepreneur, i feel the pinch in this area too and i decided to get extra help once the list has been curated. By getting the help of a virtual assistant, it does not only kept me sane, but it drastically improves my business too and eversince then, a system has been developed for it. Here's my gift for you – a guide on How to Work with A Virtual Assistant.
Tip 3: Stay Healthy and Exercise Daily
Amidst the eventful week and during the significant day of the solar eclipse, my daughter had a very high fever and was suspected of HFMD. Following after, my boys started to fall sick too. Here's what i did for my children recently.
Keeping your sanity might not be a consistent problem, but when daily stress piles up and an unexpected disappointment or disaster gets added into the mix, it becomes more difficult to maintain your composure. Apart from taking in daily supplements to aid, adding a healthy dose of daily exercise into the mix can alleviate the stress that your body feels physically as well as the tension that is building up in your mind. Exercising for half an hour or so each day helps to keep you feeling refreshed and energized. As a result, you are less likely to overreact to stressful situations or become mildly depressed.
Do you need to complete the same routine each day? Of course not! Keep it fresh by mixing it up a bit. Here are a few ideas to get you started:
• Ride an outdoor bicycle
• Use a treadmill
• Go swimming
